Hostel Amigo Suites

We had a good stay in this hotel. We had a very big, clean room with private bathroom and a little balcony. They provide free coffee. The hotel is in a super good location in the city center. Even tho we had the street under our balcony, during the night was quite. You will start to feel some noisy around 5 am but for us wasn't a problem at all. Every day the staff was asking us if we wanted our room clean which was nice. The only bad point is that the check in is too late (3pm). We arrive at 8am after a very long flight and we were really tired, we asked if we could do the check in earlier (paying an extra) but at the end we had to wait until 3pm. Also they should provide free water. A part of that it was a good stay! Recommend it.

Great staff, breakfast and supper included and pretty good ones too. The bar on the rooftop made for a more communal feel and was easy to get to know people. Shot out to Juan the bartender, he's fantastic. Hot showers to if you let them warm up a minute.

Hotel Amigo Suites is conveniently located near the zocalo/central plaza and the bus stop. Many plazas, places of interest, and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel. We checked in late at night c/o receptionist Roberto who was very helpful with our request for a late check-out. Frontdesk is open 24 hours. Paulina helped us with our check-out and luggage storage. The receptionists were fluent in speaking English. The room itself and the beddings are comfortable. There are several surfaces to put things on, although it's not the same for points to hang clothes on. Wifi connection is fast. One opportunity area is the strong smell of paint and/or varnish all the way from the reception area and even in the room. It is inconvenient especially for someone like me who has asthma. We had to open our door all the time, to minimize the strong smell.

Nice hostel with extremely good location. Rooms are not unclean as some reviewers say, and there is in fact room service to tidy up the room everyday. The main complaint I have is with its sound-proofing (or the lack thereof). Staying on the first floor (second if you're American) I could hear everything going on in the reception.

The building is a bit old but the rooms are clean, great position at 5 minutes walking from Plaza de la Constitucion. The staff is very friendly.

My first time staying at a hostel. I can't say enough good things about them. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Very good prices, which includes free breakfast and dinner. I will make plans to come back again soon. Keep up the good work. :)

Great place with a staff members really nice, friendly. Breakfast are very good and included in the price. With a little bit of patience there is hot water for shower ;) there is a good roof top and a bar with a cool bartender . May be the only bad thing is we can't use the kitchen but we are in the historic center ;)

Great hostel with a fantastic location. The restaurants out front for lunch are fantastic and you're within walking distance to the metro and many museums. The showers never really got very warm but at least there was free breakfast which consisted of pancakes fruit and coffee. Internet was pretty stable as well!
